Born in 1988, Clément Bondu is a writer, director and filmmaker. He grew up in the Parisian suburbs and studied literature at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and theater at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique de Paris. His texts include poetry, narrative, theater and opera librettos. His shows are produced by his company Année Zéro. His films play at the limits of documentary and fiction. Clément Bondu has directed three short films: L'échappée (2017), Nuit blanche rêve noir, with François Hébert (2019), and Lovely Poutine (2022). He has published two books of poems : Premières impressions (L'Harmattan, 2013) and Nous qui avions perdu le monde (La Crypte, 2021). He is the translator of Alejandra Pizarnik's Diary (Ypsilon publisher). His first novel, Les Étrangers, was published in September 2021 by Allia.

2020 - Inferno, libretto written on a music by Nuno Da Rocha - piece for orchestra, choir and performer created on January 23 at the Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisbon).Writing residency in Milos (Greece) for the International Theatre Festival.
2019 - Les Adieux (Nous qui avions perdu le monde), premiere on March 28 at the Théâtre de la Cité internationale in Paris.Dévotion, workshop conducted with the École Supérieure d'Art Dramatique de Paris (ESAD), creation on July 5, 2019 at the Gymnase du Lycée St Joseph as part of the 73rd Avignon Festival.Nuit blanche rêve noir (film, 26', Kalpa Films) written and directed with François Hébert, with the support of the Fresnoy-studio national des arts and the Villa Medicis-academy of France in Rome.Writing residency at the Villa La Brugère (Arromanches).

2018 - L'Avenir : creation on October 1st at Plateaux Sauvages (Paris).La Chartreuse (Centre National des Écritures du Spectacle): "Totems" workshop for new opera writing. L'Enfant, libretto written on a music by Nuno Da Rocha and Jamie Man, performed by the Asko-Schönberg ensemble of Amsterdam.
2017 - L'échappée (film, 13').
Writing residency of the City of Paris at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid.
L'Avenir, text winner of the ARTCENA dramaturgies plurielles creation grant.

2016 - Vivre, workshop conducted with Thierry Jolivet, with the 2017 class of the École Supérieure d'Art Dramatique de Paris (ESAD).Nous qui avions perdu le monde (le jeune homme aux baskets sales) : text winner of the SACD-Beaumarchais. Creation on October 4, 2016 at L'Onde (Vélizy).
2015 - Founded the group Memorial* with the composer and musician Jean Baptiste Cognet.
2014 - Roman, creation at the Théâtre 95 of Cergy-Pontoise.
